Dual 18ft (5.5m) Leads w/ FireRing Connectors
and Mini-UHF Section Connectors
Since the introduction of our exclusive FireRing connectors
(see the connector) in 1995, users have ask over and over, "When are you going to make FireRings available on co-phase harnesses?". Okay ... so here it is! In order to make the co-phase harnesses as user friendly as possible, we needed to make them easy to route. Since it would require a 1" hole to pass the FireRing through, we had to come up with a better idea. Ergo ... reverse thinking and mini-UHF connectors. Most co-phase harnesses are routed from the radio to the mounts. If you wanted the convenience of PL-259 connectors, you either had to drill 3/4" holes or have the knowledge and tools to install PL-259 connectors once the cable was routed. Well ... you can forget all of that with this new co-phase harness.
With this assembly, you run each leg of the co-phase harness from each mount to the radio. Since the radio end of these cables are terminated with female mini-UHF connectors, they will pass through a 7/16" (11mm) hole. After both leads are at the radio, you simply attach the "Y" connector to the ends and attach it to the radio. No coax to process ... no soldering joints to complete and no tools needed. And best of all ... you get all of the benefits of our exclusive FireRing connectors.
For those of you who know Firestik, you know the we would never compromise the quality of the coaxial cable for the conveniences found within this unique assembly. While we are best known for our hi-performance antennas, the antennas can not be expected to perform to their maximum potential if the coaxial cable is unable to deliver what the radio has to offer. As with all of our cable assemblies, we are as picky with what lies between the connectors as we are with the connectors themselves. Here is what you get.
- Stranded center conductor to maximize flexibility and prevent untimely breakage.
- Shielding coverage that averages 95% to protect against RF leaks and
interference.
- Polyvinyl center insulation for ruggedness and longevity.
- Performance that exceeds mil-spec requirements for 75 ohm RG-59A/U coax.
Note: FireRing terminations require
K-4R stud mounts that include 1.25" long bolts. Mounts that have K-4 stud mounts can be adapted for use with the FireRing termination by replacing the 1" bolt with a 1.25" bolt and elimination of the ring terminal, one flat washer and one nylon washer.
