Superstar SS-158VC6 AM/FM/USB/LSB/CW Amateur Mobile Transceiver The SS-158VC6 makes a powerful return, fully inheriting the advantages of its predecessor, the SS-158FB4.

With optimized transmission power and a redesigned cooling system featuring a new fan and vented top cover, it effectively enhances airflow, ensuring exceptional stability in SSB frequency performance.

Building on the traditional component mainboard design, the SS-158VC6 introduces several upgrades, including a white 6-digit frequency counter, channel display, and signal meter. This is one of those radios that the frequency counter counts up and  down, the last digit changing all the time.  Additionally the SSB frequency accuracy may drift with temperature changes. We have also found that when echo is turned OFF, that a little bit of tone can be heard on TX.  We cannot change these things, it has been that way with some radios for many years. If you can't live with it, please don't buy this radio. Thank you.

Switch Location
 		 Install an external amplifier keying port or PTT OUT.  We use an RCA jack in the back for a TX output PORT to your external device. Every time you key it provides a connection between the +/- of the RCA connector.  
      1) Output RCA completely isolated  from the radio. +/- of RCA connects to a relay that isolates it from the radios circuits.
      2) Optional BYPASS switch in case your external device does not have one. (turns port off (stays open))   
      3) Works all the time in high or low power modes..   
      4) Heavy duty relay can handle any keying circuit voltage, even the SB-220's - 120VDC circuit.		 $49
